A group of annuals and perennials.
Prefers full sun to part shade on light, fertile, well drained soil. They prefer temperatures under 85 F and grow poorly if temperatures exceed 95 F.
Antirrhinum major
A perennial ( annual in temperate climates ), reaching up to 4 x 1.7 ( less for dwarfs ) feet in size, that is native to temperate regions of Europe.
The lance-shaped leaves, up to 2 inches long, are mid-green.
The white, yellow, pink, red or violet flowers appear mid-summer to autumn frosts.
Hardy zones 8 to 11 in full sun on moist, fertile, well drained soil. Snapdragons can be prone to rust however some cultivars are rust resistant.

Compact, reaching up to 1.5 x 1.8 feet with bronze foliage and deep red flowers.
