Acalypha

Acalypha california
Fast growing, reaching up to 3 x 3 feet.
The cordate-ovate leaves are red at first, turning fuzzy deep green.
It bears abundant red flower catkins.
Full sun to partial shade on well drained soil. It is very drought tolerant.
