Collinsonia

Collinsonia Collinsonia canadensis ( Stoneroot )
A perennial, reaching a maximum height of 5 feet, that is native to moist woodlands of eastern North America ( from Wisconsin to Quebec; south to Arkansas to Alabama and far northern Florida ).
The bold foliage is very attractive.
The yellow flowers are borne during late summer.
Hardy zones 3 to 8 in partial shade.

Collinsia verticillata
A slow spreading, deciduous clumping perennial, reaching up to 2 feet in height, that is native . Two plants are required to produce seed.
Hardy zones 6 to 8 in partial shade on well drained soil.
