Heuchera - Coralbells

Most Heuchera listed below are hardy zones 3 to 9 in partial shade on average to fertile, moist, well-drained soils. They attract hummingbirds and are deer resistant.
Heuchera is sometimes prone to Black Vine Weevil which feeds on the plants roots and the crown, otherwise they are rarely bothered by pests or disease. Heucheras are moderately salt tolerant and also very tolerant of Juglone released from the roots of Black Walnut trees. Foliage nematodes may occur but are rare. It is recommended to mulch these shallow rooted, woody based plants during winter to prevent frost heaving.

  4. Your plant's are looking very beautiful and thanks for sharing a very useful and informative blog with us. I really don't have any idea about Heucheras. After seeing you post I think I should also add Heucheras plant in my yard. Surely they will give an extra ordinary look to my garden when I'll add Hostas and Heucheras in garden.
